memorium
In this section, the names listed are people who have supported and helped The Lazy 'C' Country and Western Club achieve its goals and standards. Unfortunately, they are no longer with us, but their memories remain.

Jim passed away in his sleep in October 2005. A committee man for over 21 years loved his quick draw. His loss is sadly missed.

Dennis, known as Nevada, passed away in his sleep in March 2005. A dedicated committee man for over 20 years, his loss is sadly missed.

Better known as Ace. Was with us in the very early days of the Clubs existence. Illness took its toll with Charlie.

Big Jim or Cheyenne as he was called by most people in the club, standing app 6' 5" and around 21 stone he was the gentle giant. Unfortunately, a road accident prematurely ended Jims life.

Known as Blue, Bill was a committee person with the Lazy 'C' and died in an accident whilst working at British Rail. A great loss, a great tragedy.

Everyone knew Gus as Doc, a loyal supporter of the club, a talented artist. Doc helped with some of the present decor of the Lazy 'C'. Cancer finally took its toll after a brave long fight.

Bob was known in the Country circles as Dixie Bob, a cheerful, joke cracking, character who supported The Lazy 'C' in the very early days and went on to run his own club at Brandon. Another character sadly missed.

Dave passed away in 2001 after being a committee man for over 10 years. His loss is sadly missed. Dave was creative in ideas and capable in the engineering side of creativity. A wise old bird, his wisdom is irreplaceable.

Veronica joined the Lazy 'C' in 1981. Whilst at West Cornford she was always a regular attender as a member. She was invited to join the committee in October 1991.
She served as a competent committee member until her terminal illness meant she became incapable of attending. She remained a committee member right up to her recent death. Veronica had a policy of calling a spade, a spade. Rest in peace Veronica and thank you for your contribution to the Lazy 'C' C.W. C.
